The fancy cased Victor D is arguably the best looking Victor horn machine ever made in my opinion. I see no flaws in the photos and the price is in the ballpark. Jerry B.

Congrats on the Victor D. You got a good buy on it. The fancy case D is my favorite rear mount Victor.

The speed control is correct and complete. I don't recall seeing that speed control on anything other than some, but not all, fancy Ds. I don't care for the color of the turntable material but that's minor and easily changed. How quiet is the motor? Many early Victor motors sound like miniature rock crushers. If it's just noisy but tolerable, thats good. Congratulations on a very good looking machine. Jerry B.

I'm probably in the minority here but I sort of prefer the governor noise that my "D" and my Vic "V" puts out....then again I'm not into the record/music end of the hobby..
congrats on a nice machine...

The motor is noisy - louder than my XX-V
The fella in Santa Barbara said that was the original felt (his words only)
